At Waverley Dojang our focus is to encourage Self Control, Discipline, Self Confidence and Respect towards one another. Never to indulge in selfish pride this could lead them to be destructive towards society. The focus is on self and inner development as well as physical development.

WHO CAN DO IT?
3 Generations are able to do training, Children, Adults and Pensioners, as long as you want to learn, we are there to teach. You do not need to be fit or flexible, that is what our classes are for.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:
In our K-Martial Arts program a person learns the arts of:

Haidong Gumdo:
The path of the sword which is an art and not a sport, training focuses more on defence than offence, with the thought that there is offence in defence. The true purpose of Haidong Gumdo is to execute justice with the light of the sword which is as majestic and brilliant as the morning sunlight on the east sea.

Taekwondo:
The literal translation is "kicking," "punching," and "the art or way of." It is a martial art in which one attacks or defends oneself using hands and feet. Taekwondo is known for its dynamic kicks, jumping and spinning kicks, and fast kicking techniques.

Teukgong Hosinsul:
Commando Self Defence is based on Teukgong Moosul which is trained in the Special Forces, Commando and Reconnaissance of the Republic of Korea Army and consists of the basics of various martial arts and essential self defence.
