Family and pet friendly accommodation, Thabametsi Farm is a tranquil rustic self-catering family and PET FRIENDLY getaway in the heart of scenic Magaliesburg. Situated on a 132 ha farm, nestled between two koppies overlooking the valley to the Witwatersrand Mountains. All units TGCSA 3 star rated.
Beautiful sunsets and great hospitality.. The diverse ecosystem encourages a wide range of bird life. Smaller animals like bush buck, scrub hares, mongoose and squirrels have made Thabametsi their home.
All units are comfortably furnished in a rustic theme. Indoor fireplaces and heaters cater for cosy winter nights whilst summer evenings are braai-time in the lovely bomas under the stars. For winter and summer comfort we have fans, heaters and electric blankets. DSTV in all units. Fully equipped kitchens. On the premises we have a coffee and craft shop and offer breakfasts on request, home made breads and scones on order.
Facilities and activities: Children and Parents love our tractor and donkey cart rides, canoeing, games, animal feeding - ducks, tortoises, Molly and Nina and baby Mickey - the cute donkeys, chickens, goats, hiking, pony rides, horses and much more. A solar heated swimming pool, Entertainment room with DSTV with games for the kids including table tennis, exercise room with some cardio equipment, a bicycle track (please bring your kids bicycles). We do have four adult mountain bikes to rent out. There are various play areas including a trampoline and obstacle course for kids. Also ideal for Photographers, Artists, and Environmentalists. Thabametsi is a Stargazer's Paradise. Accommodation sleeps 31 people plus a number of kids. We are pet friendly and you are welcome to bring your fur family along. None of the units are fenced and dogs have to be socialised.
