I am a multi-instrumentalist and an active musician with over 10 years of experience playing in jazz, rock and pop bands.

I offer face-to-face and online piano and singing lessons for all ages. These can be taken in group form or as individual lessons. A combination of singing and playing the piano is also offered for those who want to do both.

My teaching method has a strong creative focus. I teach music theory in a fun and practical way, with immediate application. Students will learn how to read music, how music works, how to analyse a song and even how to write one! They will learn to play (and sing) contemporary songs in multiple genres (depending on age and interest: songs from movies and musicals, pop songs, the blues, rock, jazz standards and classical songs, etc). In doing so, they will a lot about rhythm, melody and harmony.

I also offer group songwriting sessions, where students learn about song form, writing lyrics and composing a melody over popular harmonic progressions.

Individual classes:
R330 per 30 min lesson
R420 per 45 min lesson
R495 per 60 min lesson
