Description
Debbie & Janet Lindup, both RAD trained ballet teachers. Debbie has been teaching classical ballet in the area for 35 years & teaches pupils from 3 years old to - Advanced level.
We offer Ballet Assessments, Cape Town Ballet Eisteddfod & TDA Ballet Competitions, Showcase of Dance at the Artscape/Baxter Theatres.
Adult Ballet Classes x3 a week
Contemporary dance classes on Fridays
We do a ballet production every 2nd year for all pupils.
Janet Lindup who was a professional ballerina with 'Capab' Ballet Company for 20 years teachers the older pupils ballet technique, repertoire, pilates & pointe work.
Our recent achievement was taking our older pupils to compete in an International Ballet Competition in Croatia in 2016 where they all placed 2nd in the finals of their individual dance categories.
In July 2018 we took 12 of our senior students to Prague for a Dance Festival & ballet workshops for 10 days.
We were awarded 1st place in Prague for Pedagogy & 3rd place for Classical ballet
Our pupils attended incredible workshops in Classical ballet, Contemporary dance & Russian Folk Dance.
In September 2021 we entered 'Move' Competition in Sea Point where all our pupils excelled.
3 & 4 December 2021 We have just done 'Annie & Friends' show with all our pupils at Fish Hoek High School.
The Little Mermaid ballet concert on 9 ,10 & 11 June 2023.
Dancers Love Dogs performances at the Baxter Theatre on 20 & 22 July 2023.
Ballet 2024 starts on 24 January
