Established over 30 years ago Deanes Swim School has provided swimming lessons and water skills to thousands of people ranging from 3 year olds to adults. The central ethos of the swim school is that Swimming is a lifetime skill and as such, the learning experience in and with water should be done in a fun, relaxed environment no matter what level or age one is, in order to build a lifetime of love for and affinity with water.

Swimming lessons are focused on teaching the core aquatic skills initially. These skills comprise of
1. Aquatic breathing
2. Streamlining
3. Balance and Buoyancy
4. Rotation and Orientation
5. Sculling and Treading water
6. Entries, Exits and Diving from side of pool
7. Travelling and Co ordination
y ensuring that these fundamental core aquatic skills are well mastered, swimming lessons will be fun and the learning of strokes will happen more easily, far quicker and with much more confidence.

Deanes swim School offers a variety of swimming classes, ranging from water familiarization and safety from the age of 3 years, through learn-to-swim to advanced stroke correction. Programs are conducted for both children and adults, Monday to Saturday. Lessons are taught in small, manageable groups.
