As a proud parent of 2children where my daughter has started and my son hesitated. With my son walking in and out during dropin and pickup, he too joined later with the interest he got in observation. Never say NO to go to classes. It's another home for them where they have good time with Sensei's and the classes they make them are interesting. Yes Sunninghill Shotokon with Sensei Rajen and Sensei Nad have played a major role in our children's lives. The kids gained concentration, attention and physically keeping strong. Thank you is a just a word, yes no words can describe the amount I would like to appreciate and Thank them. Joining is normal but how they take it is in the hands of Karatekas and Sensei's and yes happiness with what we experienced and experiencing.

I am proud Sunninghill Shotokan Karate parent and have been for the last 4 years.. I have seen the difference that Karate and especially training with Sunninghill Shotokan Karate has made to my young lady.. Sensei Nad Naicker and Sensei Rajen Moodley really have the best interest of their karatekas at heart and that shines through in everything that they do with and for the kids at the dojo.. While there is a familial feeling to the whole dojo, when it comes to training it is strictly business and the kids get their fair share of tough love.. You can see some of the events and other information about the dojo on their website..

The GRKC 1978 has been a corner-store of the Roodepoort area and is well known not just by the local populous but also throughout the Karate world where its cousins from JKA and Shotokan and other Goju Ryu affiliated groups are well acquainted. The instructors are fully qualified and compliant to the standards set out by KSA and that of the head organization situated in Okinawa, Japan. With up to standard first aid training and equipment the instructors having gone through extensive training and refresher courses with a registered training facility, you can rest assured that you are in good hands. This dojo is welcoming and friendly to all who wants to train in martial arts and pursue its journey, young and old are all welcome. Training equipment of a wide variety is available to all students with guided coaching and oversight. Lessons for all age groups and belt ranks are carefully planned to ensure students get the most out of their time spent in class. The dojo not only engages with its students in class time but also partakes in casual activities with its student body to build comeradery and a sense of belonging with park walks, movie nights for the youngsters and to top it all off, unforgettable festive season engagements. As a student myself I can honestly say that GRKC is the place to be. I would highly recommend any person who is seeking a place like this to come and see what it's all about and join in on the journey.
