Guitar lessons

My daughter started guitar 11 months ago at age 14 and has made good progress so far. She really enjoys the lessons and is growing more and more motivated. Paul comes to our house, is flexible with the lesson content and is always happy to teach her her favourite songs. He sets high standards and is very encouraging and patient as a teacher.

Great guitar teacher

Paul teaches you 4 children, aged 14 to 9 to play the guitar. At first I'd drop them off at his school but that became tough and he kindly agreed to have the lessons at our home. The kids love Paul. He has helped them build confidence and teaches them the songs that they want to learn. He has even offered to help them to prep for school music exams. Our schedules are a bit crazy but Paul is always accommodating so that music lessons is one less thing for me to think about. Thanks Paul

Brilliant teacher

Paul is both a fantastic guitarist and an amicable guy who has extensive knowledge of a variety of genres. I have been Paul's student for a couple of years now and the lessons have never stopped being interesting and there has always been a good balance between music theory and simply learning pieces of music. Overall, I have no complaints and I would suggest Paul to any aspiring guitarists, regardless of their level.

Online group lessons

Online group lessons offered ( via Zoom or Skype) 3-4 people in the group. Limited days/ times available. Fees are R100 per person per 30min lesson. Lessons will be started when group is complete.

Where do I begin with an experience this wonderful? My kid has always loved music, the piano in particular and took it up. When I reached out to Pinnacle, I not only got a brochure, but given my long list of questions - also a super long, patient and attentive call both listening to me and clearly answering the questions I had. Then David the teacher arrived, I was like meh - we'll see how he goes. Given my generally low expectations of humans, I did not at all expect what came with having him as a teacher. He took my child's passion and commitment and turned it into a kind of discipline I did not anticipate. Working with him I watched her bloom and grow in all kinds of ways, practicing diligently and even stretching herself into the classical type of music she does not appreciate. Her confidence grew in ways that were expressed beyond her music and her fire was there. A child who is not at all into the classics, was willing to play them understanding that it is an integral part of her musical journey. Over and above that, because of his witnessed care and concern, David has gone on to become much more than just a music teacher, but someone we were all excited to have over because he leaves behind a happy and much more determined child. From the administration to the teacher, the Pinnacle experience is one I think every child with music in their heart deserves, as well as those who love that child. A fantastic experience all round!
